The Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales recently hosted a conference under the banner; “Grumpy scientists: the ecological conscience of a nation”. The forum focused on the many and various threats to our global ecosystem.

Land clearing, issues with invasive species, pollution, habitat loss, climate change, and the relentless pressure imposed by human population growth were all on the agenda.

Two stars of the forum, Paul Ehrlich, and Harry Recher, gave in depth interviews to Off Track about what makes them grumpy.
