"There is a phrase from the Anglo-Saxon word hoard that serves our purposes a great deal better (than unconscious): that phrase is 'not yet speech-ripe'.

" There is an ejaculatory prayer exercise from the Hindu-Buddhist tradition that often has a striking and transformative effect on the effort to become aware of, and withdraw unconscious projections. In Sanskrit, the prayer phrase (phonetically) is: "Tsam Tsvas Tvat", or, literally, "I am that."

"Training Films for Spiritual Warriors

Whenever any dream is remembered, it is an indication that the waking mind has a creative, transformative role to play in the evolution of whatever issue the dream is presenting. For millions of years, the ability to pay immediate and focused attention to nasty, threatening stuff has been a primary survival test.

"The worst case dream calls upon the dreamer not only to see and accept the depths of depravity that reside in every human psyche, but even more importantly, to become more conscious of and responsible for our ability to face, overcome, and give transformative, creative, and spiritual expression to those archetypal shadow energies."

“I am particularly concerned about  … the ecological catastrophe that appears to be heading towards us like a tsunami. … not so much because of the physical problems that I suspect will come from it, obviously they will be immense, I am concerned about it because it is going to put every structure of civilisation to the test. And any civilisation which relies on comfort and convenience for its humanity will go brutal and any civilisation which has discovered deeper meaning than comfort and convenience will become teachers for the bits of humanity that survive. … my fear is that collectively, as a species, we are headed to even more suffering than we are inflicting on each other now.

… how we relate to one another in these dire circumstances is much more than the circumstances themselves. “

migraine

Migraine has now been shown to be a genetic neurological disease characterized by flare-ups most often called "Migraine attacks." A headache can be one symptom of a Migraine attack, but it's just that -- one of the possible symptoms. Some Migraineurs (people with Migraine disease) have Migraine attacks without having a headache.

There are still multiple theories of what actually occurs in the brain when we encounter a trigger and a Migraine attack occurs. The most prevalent theory is that Migraineurs have overly excitable neurons in our brains. When a trigger is encountered, those neurons fire in a wave across the brain, starting a chain reaction. Blood vessels in the brain become dilated, nerves and tissues surrounding those vessels become inflamed, and the levels and balance of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, neoepinephrine, and dopimine are affected. It's this chain of events that cause the symptoms of Migraine. The possible aura, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound, and the possible headache, a headache that is more often on one side and is often throbbing or pulsing and is made worse by phsyical activity. Other symptoms that can be quite frightening can include motor weakenss, difficulty speaking or concentrating, one-sided paralysis, or temporary blindness.

Down The Rabbit Hole: The Journey of a Migraineur

Definition of Terms

Aura: a bright shape, flashes of light and color, or blurred vision that partially or totally blocks vision in one eye; numbness or tingling of the face; a feeling that one’s limbs are distorted, i.e., one hand is larger than the other; weakness or heaviness of the limbs; difficulty speaking and confusion.

Biofeedback Training: a non-drug migraine headache treatment that uses specialized equipment to teach the patient relaxation techniques that can be used to prevent or lessen the onset of a migraine attack.

Migraine Profile: a “diary” or written summary of your migraine frequency, severity, and treatment. A migraine profile helps the doctor diagnose and understand your condition.

Migraine-Related Stroke: called migrainous infarction or complicated migraine, is extremely rare. Symptoms include confusion, partial paralysis, speech impairement, and aura. Visual impairment on both sides, weakness of limbs, dizziness, and inability to walk properly. Risk factors include smoking, oral contraceptive use, and ergotamine use. These symptoms persist after the attack has ended. In some cases the impairments improve or disappear with treatment; in other cases they are permanent.

NSAIDs: Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs that are can be used as migraine medications for treating moderate migraines. A few brands are now available over the counter. These medications have fewer side effects than stronger prescription drugs.

Postheadache: also called the postdrome, it is the 24-hour period after a migraine occurs. People may either experience fatigue and tiredness or euphoria or elation. It varies per person and is sometimes linked to the severity of the attack.

Preheadache: also called the prodrome, it begins a few hours before the migraine begins and is usually accompanied by irritability, fluid retention, increased thirst, or frequent urination.

death dreams

The interpretation of the dream of death could be one of many things. Most people think right off the bat dreaming of death is a bad thing, but in most cases it is not bad at all. Death means in most cases the ending to something in one’s life. It could be the end of a long family battle or the end of a long sickness. It is a very common dream. Something that perhaps has been dragging along in one’s life, such as the coming to an end of a career could finally be ending with the dream of death. Other things it could possibly be would be an ending to a relationship. In most cases the relationship or career is making the person unhappy or not a good situation.

Other possibilities of the interpretation of death could be the ending to one thing with the beginning of another. Things could be a relationship again or a career, with the

start of something new and fresh. The symbolism of death is most always a positive thing. There are a few cases when it really means that death is going to happen, but usually it means the rebirth of something better. It could also mean that it could be the end of a person’s worries. The worries will die in a sense. The cause of the worry will cease to exist. Another possible meaning could be of prosperity and longevity.

There could be some negative possibilities however. Dreaming of death could mean a person has a fear of losing something. Not necessarally a person or pet though. It

could be the loss of a relationship or a job. Also the just fear of having already lost something. It could be a personal item of great sentimental value or again a relationship or a job. Dreaming of death could be a sign of pet up anger towards a person. In this case the person needs to address the anger and realize why they are angry and at whom. Negative feelings about someone or something could also the result of dreaming of death.

In any case, dreams are a person’s subconscious way of talking to the inner self. If the dreams bother a person or they are reoccurring, they should be looked into and

addressed. If the dream is simply ignored, there is a loss of self-awareness.

dakini

Dakinis are active manifestations of energy. Therefore, they are usually depicted as dancing, this also indicating that they actively participate in the world, or in the spiritual perspective, in both Samsara and Nirvana. In the Tantric Buddhist tradition of Tibet, Dakinis basically represent manifestations of energy in female form, the movement of energy in space. In this context, the sky or space indicates Shunyata, the insubstantiality of all phenomena, which is, at the same time, the pure potentiality for all possible manifestations. And the movements of their dance signify the movements of thoughts and the energy spontaneously emerging from the nature of mind. Being linked to energy in all its functions, the Dakinis are much associated with the revelation of the Anuttara Tantras or Higher Tantras, which represent the path of transformation. What is transformed here is energy. This method is quite reminiscent of alchemy, the transmutation of base metal into pure precious gold. In this case, the energy of the negative emotions or kleshas, called poisons, are transformed into the luminous energy of enlightened awareness or gnosis (jnana).

The Dakini is a female being, generally of volatile temperament, who acts as a muse for spiritual practice.

Many stories of the Mahasiddha in Tibet contain passages where a Dakini will come to perturb the would-be Mahasiddha. When the Dakini's test has been fulfilled and passed, the practitioner is often then recognised as a Mahasiddha, and often is elevated into the Paradise of the Dakinis, a place of enlightened bliss.

It should be noted that while a Dakini is often depicted as beautiful and naked, they are seen not sexual symbols, but as symbols of natural humans. There are instances where a Dakini has come to test a practitioner's control over his or her sexual desires, but the Dakini itself is not a being of passion. A more common symbolism is that the nakedness represents the freedom from all obscuration and defilements.

The Chinese and Tibetan terms for dakini literally mean "she who travels in the sky"; this is sometimes rendered poetically as "sky dancer" or "sky walker". Invariably, their bodies are depicted curved in sinuous dance poses.
